Ina Zein
Ina Zein is a founding member of Gatan Marayu Foundation. Born in Kano, she feels a deep connection to the people of this city. Returned to Kano with a degree in Veterinary Medicine of the University TH in Hanover, Germany and a post-graduate degree in Homeopathy from Oxford University in Oxford, UK Ina injects a massive pulse of intercultural energy and values into the organization.

Her natural leadership skills in conjunction with a passion for mental and physical Healthcare and over 20 years of experience of life in Kano make her a transformational senior project manager in the Orphans’ scholarship program of GMF. She centralises the communication between beneficiaries and sponsors forging valuable relationships thus growing the sponsor- base annually. Operating with great attentiveness to detail and time management, Ina prepares and analyses projects and submits reports with accurate respect to deadlines.

Ina’s special interest in Health Care and emotional Well-Being of individuals power her extensive consideration of the well-being of the surrounding community: She works with dedication at the grass root level in close contact with the beneficiaries to design tailor-made, realistic responses and programs reflecting and benefitting the true needs of the beneficiaries.
​
Together with her colleagues she pioneered in GMF’s program to economically empower Internally Displaced People (IDP’s) launched after the Boko Haram insurgency and operating until today.
